ABSTRACT:
A blanket cylinder washing method for use in a web offset printing press. A blanket cylinder is rotated independently of running of a web, with the blanket cylinder thrown off, preferably, the blanket cylinder is rotated at a speed V1higher than a running speed V0of the web, and the blanket cylinder is washed. It is thereby possible to decrease the amount of spoilage generated when the blanket cylinder is washed.
