ABSTRACT:
Biscyclosiloxane imides such as 1,3-bis[5'-(heptamethylcyclotetrasiloxyl)-bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2',3'-dica rboxylicimido]phenylene are made by intercondensing the corresponding cyclicsiloxane norbornane anhydride with aromatic diamine. The biscylosiloxane imides can be converted to coating compositions or elastomers.
