ABSTRACT:
A photoconductor for electrophotography comprises an electroconductive substrate and a photosensitive layer formed on the substrate. The photosensitive layer includes a novel bisazo compound as a charge generating substance therein. The bisazo compound is represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein, A stands for a coupler residue.
