ABSTRACT:
The compounds bis (.beta.-carboxyethyl)isobutyl phosphine oxide, bis (.beta.-carboxyethyl) sec. butyl phosphine oxide and bis(.beta.-carboxyethyl)-t-butyl phosphine oxide and their use as components in the production of fiber-forming polyamides, fibers produced from said polyamides and a method for the production of various bis (carboxyalkyl) alkyl phosphine oxides are disclosed.
