ABSTRACT:
Method for continuous production of H.sub.2 via the biophotolysis of water in a two step process using a reversibly reduceable cofactor and synergistic photometabolically active microorganisms. The rate of H.sub.2 production can be increased utilizing transition metal ions as catalysts.
