ABSTRACT:
Disclosed are compositions and method for inhibiting and controlling the growth of the capsulated, facultative bacterium, Klebisella pneumoniae. The compositions comprise 2-(2-bromo-2-nitroetheny) furan and n-4-dihydroxy-oxobenzene-ethanimidoyl chloride. The method comprises adding from 1 part to about 200 parts composition to the aqueous system for which treatment is desired.
