ABSTRACT:
Compounds having the formula ##STR1## in which Y is hydrogen, halogen, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently hydrogen or methyl; and n is 1 or 2, are effective biocides or biostats for protection of plastic, polymeric or cellulosic materials against attack by microorganisms.
