ABSTRACT:
A binocular includes two parallel telescope systems. Each telescope system includes an objective system, an erecting system and an eyepiece system. The erecting system and the eyepiece system of each telescope system are part of a movable unit which is movable toward and away from a front-most lens of the objective system. The movable unit can be moved towards the front-most lens to a position in which an object cannot be viewed through the telescope system.
