Binding compositions for the manufacture of lignocellulosic composites comprising an aqueous emulsion of polyisocyanates and a release agent obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with an oxyalkylic hemiester of a C.sub.9 -C.sub.18, saturated or unsaturated, monocarboxylic fatty acid.
