ABSTRACT:
The invention concerns a device or machine used for payment and electronic currency systems and systems for billing or payment for data transmission in the network. The device or machine can insert, within the control structure associated with a data packet in a data-transmission network, a token containing a toll unit credit, and can initiate an electronic or physical machine-executed operation after having authenticated and debited the credit associated with the token belonging to a packet. The device or machine according to the invention allows billing or payment for transmission, the content of a data packet, or the service provided with respect to the content of a data packet.
