ABSTRACT:
A bill handling machine includes a machine body10for conveying bills3and storing bills other than a bill3to be discharged and a detachable box20having a mounted section21detachably mounted to a mount section11of the machine body10for storing and discharging the bill3to be discharged. The machine body10includes distinguishing device (14band14c) for distinguishing whether or not the bill3is a dischargeable bill, conveying device12for conveying the bills3in the normal or reverse direction between the distinguishing device and the mounting section11, and a keeping bill storage section15for storing the bills3other than the bill3to be discharged which is conveyed by the conveying device12. The detachable box20includes a dischargeable bill storage section25for storing the bill3so as to be discharged.
