ABSTRACT:
A bicycle tire10is described having a tread that comprises transverse channels defining a block tread pattern for improving grip when the tire is used in off-road conditions. Two axially spaced circumferentially continuous parallel ribs14straddle the tire centreline and project radially beyond the block tread pattern to improve ride quality on a smooth road surface.
