ABSTRACT:
A bicycle alarm system comprising a bicycle component including a lockable clamp for securing a bicycle with a locking circuit disposed therein, a motion detector for transmitting a motion detection signal upon ascertainment of motion, controller circuitry coupled to the locking circuit and motion detection for transmitting an alarm activation signal upon receipt of the motion detection signal or when the locking circuit is broken, a transmitter coupled to the controller circuitry for transmitting an alarm signal upon receipt of the alarm activation signal, and a power source mechanism for energizing the locking circuit, motion detector, and transmitter; and a user component including a receiver for transmitting an alarm activation signal upon receipt of the alarm signal from the transmitter of the bicycle component; an alarm mechanism coupled to the receiver for transmitting an alarm upon receipt of the alarm activation signal; and a power source mechanism for energizing the receiver.
