Linear bi- or tri-enic fatty esters of erythromycin A have the formula ##STR1## wherein one of R and R' represents a linear bi- or tri-enic C.sub.18 acyl radical having an all cis (Z) stereochemical configuration and the other of R and R' represents hydrogen.
