ABSTRACT:
Apparatus for a game of tetherball which includes a pole having a helix mounted thereon and in which a ball is provided on a line the line being attached to the helix by means of a loop so that it can move up and down the helix depending on the direction the ball is hit, the loop being in the form of a noose so that it can operate in either of two modes, a first one in which the loop is small enough not to pass easily over the outside of the helix and the second mode in which it is large enough to pass easily over the helix.
