ABSTRACT:
A reference circuit 10 includes a current generator 12 and a voltage generator 14. The current generator 12 includes an N-channel MOS transistor MN5 and an N-channel MOS transitor MN6 which function as a beta helper. Transistors MN5 and MN6 are connected within current generator 12 and thus pull base current for bipolar transistors Q1 and Q2 from the collector current source to compensate for any low bipolar transistor gain (hfe) effects.
