ABSTRACT:
A novel β-carboline guanidine derivative tiruchenduramine (1)and its derivatives are disclosed. These compounds have been isolated from the Indian ascidianSynoicum macroglossum. These compounds are useful in the treatment of diabetic disorder by providing inhibition of α (alpha)glucosidase.
