An amide derivative of the formula (I): ##STR1## or a tautomeric form thereof, wherein R is a phenyl group substituted in the 4-position by a group of R.sup.1 XCH.sub.2-, where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylcarbonyl, or H, and X is oxygen or sulphur;
