ABSTRACT:
Reaction products, useful as anti-corrosion inhibitors, are provided of (A) benzotriazole and (B) a reactant selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbyl carboxylic acids having at least 18 carbon atoms, mono- and di-substituted hydrocarbyl phosphates and mono- and di-substituted hydrocarbyl phosphonates wherein the hydrocarbyl substituent contains at least 15 carbon atoms and wherein said reaction is conducted at a temperature from about 100.degree. C to about 200.degree. C and in a mole ratio of (A) to (B) of from about 1:1 to about 1:0.5.
