ABSTRACT:
Benzotriazole compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein A represents a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group; R.sup.1 represents vinyl, ethyl or a haloethyl group; R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.1-4 alkyl group and n is 1 or 2. The R.sub.2.sup.2 groups need not be identical and a homopolymer or copolymers thereof which are effective as an ultraviolet absorber.
