The invention relates to benzophenones of formula (I), in which the substituents have the following meanings: X represents halogen; R1represents hydrogen, halogen, C1-C6alkyl, halo-C1-C2alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, oxyhalomethyl or nitro, and; R2represents hydrogen, C1-C6alkyl, benzyl, cyclohexylmethyl or C3-C6alkenyl. The invention also relates to the production of these benzophenones and to their use as fungicides
