A benzophenone having the formula ##STR1## wherein Y is halo, hydroxy or lower alkyl optionally substituted with halogen; m has a value of from 0 to 2; R is a radical having not more than 4 carbon atoms selected from the group consisting of alkenyl, haloalkenyl and haloalkyl; and x is phenyl or the similarly substituted phenyl radical as is bonded to the carbonyl radical of the formula; and the method of applying said esters to plants for control of fungi infestation.
