ABSTRACT:
Combinations comprising (i) a drowsiness-inducing benzodiazepine tranquilliser and (ii) a compound selected from m-chloro-.alpha.-t-butylaminopropiophenone, m-fluoro-.alpha.-t-butylaminopropiophenone and the pharmacologically and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, pharmaceutical formulations comprising a said combination toegther with an acceptable carrier therefor, the preparation of such combinations and formulations, and the concomitant use in human medicine of such a benzodiazepine compound and a said propiophenone or salt thereof.
Concomitant administration of a said propiophenone or salt thereof prevents the functional impairment and drowsiness in man which follow the administration of such a benzodiazepine compound.
