ABSTRACT:
There have been prepared novel benzo[a]phenazine derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methoxy, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, methyl, acetyl, haloacetyl or substituted aminoalkyl, and R.sup.3 is ethoxy or substituted amino. These compounds are useful as antimicrobiological agents.
