ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to benzamidoxime derivatives represented by ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkenyl or unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkynyl, R.sup.2 is phenyl optionally having substituents or heterocycle optionally having substituents X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3 and X.sup.4 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylthio or the like, and r.sub.1 and r.sub.2 are each independently hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or the like, having excellent fungicidal activity and being useful as a fungicide for agricultural and horticultural use, and methods for preparation thereof.
