ABSTRACT:
A benzamide derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, and R is hydroxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy, alkenylalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy, amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 monoalkylamino, monoalkenylamino, dialkylamino or O-cat wherein cat is a metal, ammonium or an organic cation.
