ABSTRACT:
A belt feeder for loading an ammunition belt into an automatic weapon has a feeder starwheel driven stepwise in dependence on the weapon function and is provided with an ammunition-belt inlet-chute which progressively narrows in a substantially spiral fashion and extends angularly around the feeder starwheel over approximately 90.degree. .
