ABSTRACT:
A bearing for a road wheel of a motor vehicle that is equipped with an anti-lock braking system has on the outer surface of its outer race ring two alternative positions for excitor rings. A rebate affording a cylindrical surface and an axial locating shoulder is provided at each of these positions, enabling a single design of bearing to be used in either a drum or disc brake arrangement.
