ABSTRACT:
To provide a bearing assembly having an electric power generating capability, that can be assembled compact in size and easily incorporated in a drive transmission system of an internal combustion engine, the bearing assembly having an electric power generating capability includes a rolling bearing1including an outer race7and an inner race6rotatable relative to the outer race7, and an electric power generator2interposed between the inner and outer races6and7for generating an electric power by a rotation of the inner race6relative to the outer race7. This bearing assembly may be used as a bearing in the drive transmission system of the internal combustion engine for rotatably supporting, for example, a crankshaft4.
