In a battery module including a plurality of batteries40stored in a housing, each of the batteries40includes an electrode portion16protruding from a battery case5, a base30A is arranged on a side of the electrode portions16so that the base30A is in contact with the battery cases5, and the electrode portions16are inserted in through holes36provided in the base30A. Connection portions320connected to the electrode portions16are formed on upper surfaces of the electrode portions16. A connection terminal32for connecting the batteries40in parallel is formed in a region on the base30A in which the connection terminal32does not cover the through holes36. The connection terminal32is connected to the connection portions320by fusible links320A straddling the through holes36.
