ABSTRACT:
A battery-actuated insecticide transpirator comprises: a radiation plate located in contact with an insecticide; and a heating element using a battery; wherein the surface of radiation plate is heated to a temperature of from 90.degree. to 130.degree. C. for transpirating the insecticide, and wherein the heating element consists of a battery connected to a positive temperature coefficient thermistor (an organic PTC) made from a mixture of thermoplastic polyolefin resin and carbon; and wherein the insecticide is a cyclopropane carboxylic ester pyrethroid having a vapor pressure of 1.0.times.10.sup.-4 mmHg or higher at 2.degree. C. A method for transpirating insecticide using the transpirator.
