ABSTRACT:
A process for the manufacture of a basic detergent comprising the reaction without heating, of carboxylic aliphatic diacid of C.sub.6 to C.sub.8, with a compound of nitrogen selected in the group consisting of ammonia and primary, secondary or tertiary aliphatic amines and aliphatic amino-alcohols. The detergent obtained is practically non-noxious.
