ABSTRACT:
A method of dehydrogenating an amine-borane having the formula R1H2N—BH2R2using base metal catalyst. The method generates hydrogen and produces at least one of a [R1HN—BHR2]moligomer and a [R1N—BR2]noligomer. The method of dehydrogenating amine-boranes may be used to generate H2for portable power sources, such as, but not limited to, fuel cells.
