A ball bearing for rectilinear sliding, in which balls can be easily placed. A ball retaining material retains one side portion of the balls placed in load ball grooves of an inner surface of the slide member, and ball retaining flexible materials are provided on the inner surface of the wing portions of the slide member while another side portion of the balls is being retained. Thus, the balls placed in the load ball grooves are retained by the ball retaining material and the ball retaining flexible materials.
