ABSTRACT:
An apparatus to improve combustion efficiency of solid fueled ramjets by ucing or slowing down the mixing between the air stream and the combustion zone near the fuel grain. The mixing process is altered by placing a control device parallel to the longitudinal axis of the combustion chamber and spaced from the interior wall of the solid fuel. The device may take the form of a co-axial tube which may be perforated slotted or segmented.
