ABSTRACT:
A refrigerated merchandiser includes a display case10having an open front and defining a product display space30wherein product15is hung for display and customer access on a peg bar support system50. Refrigerated air passes into the product display space30through a back panel24perforated with air inlet holes48. A baffle plate60lies superadjacent the peg bar support system50and is positioned relative thereto so as to provide an airflow gap65between its rearward edge64and the back panel24and an airflow gap63between its forward edge62and the tag moulding58of the peg bar support system50. Refrigerated air passes through the rearward and forward airflow gaps to cool the product displayed on the peg bar support system. Additionally, the baffle plate may be perforated with a plurality of holes to provide additional airflow passages70through which further refrigerated air may pass to cool the product displayed on the peg bar support system.
