ABSTRACT:
A mower10is provided for cutting grass where the mower10includes a body12with a mower deck16, a motor14, a baffle30, and a battery52. The mower deck16has a downwardly-open interior within which grass is cut. The motor14is supported upon the mower deck16and supplies a motive force for a mowing operation where the motor14includes at least a portion operable by electrical energy. The baffle30is located within the interior of the mower deck16where the baffle30bounds an area within the mower deck16. The battery52is located within the interior of the mower deck16and is located within the area bounded by the baffle30. In another example, the mower deck16and the baffle30are configured for substantially restraining the movement of the battery52. In an example method, the battery52is installed within a baffle30that is secured within an interior of the mower deck16.
