ABSTRACT:
A back rest for a chair, namely in particular an office chair, has a base plate and a concealing shell disposed at the rear side of the base plate. The concealing shell conceals with its rims the base plate in the region of its edges. In order to ensure an easy assembly and dismantling of the concealing shell to the base plate, hook connections are formed between the base plate and the concealing shell, which can be closed or released by displacing the base plate and the concealing shell in relation to and substantially parallel to each other.
