ABSTRACT:
The performance characteristics of (Ba,Sr)F, (Cl,Br) : Eu.sup.+2 phosphors may be improved by combining these phosphors with particular rare earth oxyhalide phosphors. In the preferred embodiments, the latter phosphors have relatively small and well-formed crystalline particles which become interspersed with the larger crystalline particles of the (Ba,Sr)F, (Cl,Br) : Eu.sup.+2 phosphor.
