ABSTRACT:
Azoamidine compounds shown by the general formula [1] ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently a lower alkyl group, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and X is a divalent hydrocarbon group, or its hydrate, show high reactivity and are capable of forming an intramolecule salt with an amidino group and having high solubility into water, methanol and other solvents.
