ABSTRACT:
Azo pigments having the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen or halogen atom; n represents an integer of 1 to 4; R.sub.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group; R.sub.2 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has one coupling site and R.sub.3 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has two coupling sites.
The azo pigments can be produced by coupling a coupling component with a diazonium compound of an aromatic amine having the formula ##STR2## wherein X, n and R.sub.1 are defined above.
