ABSTRACT:
An automotive air conditioning system according to the present invention includes a heat pump circuit comprising a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger provides cooled or heated air to a passenger compartment. The second heat exchanger is provided with an outside air inlet path that conducts outside air to the second heat exchanger. Passenger compartment air is also conducted to the second heat exchanger by an air conducting path. The flow of air from the passenger compartment and the outside is selectively conducted to the second heat exchanger by a damper that responds to air flow demand.
