ABSTRACT:
In one aspect, the present invention includes an automatic volume control (AVC) circuit to receive a demodulated signal and provide an output signal at a substantially constant volume. The circuit may be implemented in hardware, software, and/or firmware to perform digital demodulation, programmable amplification, and high pass filtering to provide a substantially constant volume output.
