ABSTRACT:
An automatic image developing apparatus for a halide silver photographic photosensitive material includes a developing tank, and a fixing tank, a washing tank for successively delivering therethrough the halide silver photographic photosensitive material which has been exposed or has recorded an image thereon. The washing tank is supplied with washing water at a rate of 2 liters or less per 1 m.sup.2 of the photographic photosensitive material. The apparatus also has a plurality of roller pairs for squeezing water from the photographic photosensitive material fed from the washing water toward a drying unit, and a roller washing unit associated with at least a first one of the roller pairs which is closest to the washing tank to grip the photographic photosensitive material from the washing tank, for washing said at least one roller pair at all times.
