ABSTRACT:
An automated parking garage system having a plurality of modules arranged in, for example, a grid pattern, each module having a plurality of stacked storage positions. An empty storage position for each module or the top of the module is positioned at an access point so that vehicles can easily and quickly access or exit the system. Each of the modules includes a roller system so that modules can slidably move up and down in response to movement of a hydraulic power system controlled in accordance with signals to move an empty storage position of the module or top of a module to an access point. The hydraulic system also moves the modules in response to a request to retrieve a vehicle.
