The sole also includes one or more slots laterally formed therethrough to receive corresponding slides, each of which have one or more golf spikes formed therein. The slides can be easily removed from the shoe to facilitate changing of spikes when the slide is inserted into the slot and a clamping engagement is formed so as to provide for lateral support when a golfer is swinging a golf club while providing great flexibility when walking.
