A photovoltaic (PV) module10assembled by automated processes. PV module10comprises solar cells electrically connected in a linear string24. Encapsulant26surrounds solar cell string24. Dielectric30is positioned between solar cell string24and a layer of encapsulant26′. A glass layer is placed atop encapsulant26. A terminal bar19is in electrical continuity with the electrical output of the solar cell at each end of solar cell string24. Circuit connector20is in electrical continuity with terminal bar19and is used for electrical connection of one module to another in the field. Solar cell string24is mounted in a box-like structure comprised of an upper pan14and lower pan16. Lower pan16defines a conduit for the flow of air beneath solar cell string24. Module10is rotatably mountable in sunlight tracking array100.
