ABSTRACT:
An assembly for welding includes a frame member and a plurality of repositionable torches supported by the frame member adjacent a linear path of travel of a metal strip. The method includes the steps of welding the metal strip, ascertaining the character of the weld and repositioning the torches to alter the character of the weld.
