ABSTRACT:
Substituted aryloxyphenoxy acylisothioureas useful as herbicides having the formula ##STR1## wherein R is CF.sub.3 or halogen; X is hydrogen or halogen; A is CH or nitrogen; R.sub.1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, phenyl, cyanoalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, or alkoxycarbonylalkyl; R.sub.2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl, or substituted phenyl; and R.sub.3 is acyl or halogen substituted acyl selected from the group consisting of propionyl, dichloro bromoacetyl, propionaminocarbonyl and phenylaminocarbonyl.
