ABSTRACT:
Epoxy laminates with outstanding strength were obtained from glass fabrics finished with certain non-styryl arylalkyl aminofunctional alkoxysilane compounds having the formula:and HCl salts thereof, wherein R is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R1is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R2may be the same or different and are independently selected from alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and n has a value of 0 or 1, wherein the compounds are prepared using readily available starting materials without the need for styrenic double bond.
